Why not start a program that brings farmers and teens/adults together. NFL has Play 60 farmers can provide exercise and a sense of accomplishment for teens/adults. I have watched over the years that even adults who had little to no experience come to our farm start feeding the horses and tell me two basic things 1. They have lost weight and 2. They enjoy the relationships they have made with the horses. We can really help people by providing something to do that they can enjoy and benefits both the community and themselves with better health and an appreciation for other life forms.

More than 200 Uniontown area executives and civic leaders will be volunteering to be “arrested and serve time” in a mock jail at the Christian W. Klay Winery on Route 40 in Chalk Hill on Thursday in an effort to raise money for the local Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Participants will be sentenced to “raise bail” by calling friends and encouraging contributions to advance MDA’s programs.
When “paroled,” executives have the opportunity to network with one another.
Several local businesses are supporting the community event, with “jailbird” transportation and arresting officers provided by Alpha Security, mug-shot photos courtesy of the MDA and jailhouse food provided by Christian Klay.
MDA is a voluntary health agency working to defeat neuromuscular diseases through research, services and professional and public health education. MDA also maintains about 230 clinics nationwide, including one at UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh, local support groups, and a summer camp for children with muscle-wasting diseases at Camp Kon-O-Kwee.
MDA is the first nonprofit recognized by the American Medical Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award “for significant and lasting contributions to the health and welfare of humanity.”
Those interested in participating in the Executive MDA Lock-Up, or to nominate someone to participate, call the local MDA office at 412-823-3094.
