Vincent’s Art Gallery and Craft Shoppe will hold a grand opening open at its new location at 500 New Salem Road, Uniontown, (one mile past Sheetz) from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. May 2.
More than 80 local artists and artisans will have their work on display. The shop features hundreds of items created exclusively by local artists and crafts people. St. Vincent de Paul Society receives a portion of all sales to help fund local programs.
A spokesman for the gallery said the former Hopwood location became too small to handle the work of so many people.
The former grange building on New Salem Road contains about 5,000 square-feet. The top floor will be devoted to fine art and the bottom floor will house work by craft artists.
The building has been redecorated to provide a warm, relaxed atmosphere while at the same time help those less fortunate in the area.
